Lieutenant Island Residence, Wellfleet, MA

This new three-bedroom home was designed to take full advantage of its spectacular site at the edge of Cape Cod Bay. The volume of the house expands towards a dramatic two story window wall facing the primary view. Additional views are captured from the upper deck which, with its pergola structure provides a shaded retreat. Natural ventilation is achieved by careful placement of several sets of motorized awning windows. Materials include red cedar siding, lead-coated copper fascias and bluestone pavers.
