Cape Cod Bay Residence, Truro MA
This two-thousand six- hundred square foot home is located on on a bluff overlooking Cape Cod Bay. The design is articulated by two distinct volumes expressing the functional separation of living and sleeping spaces. The bedroom wing is located parallel to the edge of the property to better utilize the contours of the land and facilitate the entry. The living room wing has been rotated to align with views of the sunset, the Bay, and Provincetown. Windows are carefully placed to introduce natural light, capture prevailing southwest breezes and provide natural ventilation.
A second phase of work added an outdoor pool, terrace, and a new poolhouse building with a kitchen, dining area and bedroom loft, as well as a private master bedroom suite off the rear of the main house.
